Good Locks By A Boise Reader I like a padlock which opens and closes smoothly. These locks are a bit above average in this category, although certainly not the best which I have ever seen. The smoothest-opening locks use a double ball-bearing locking mechanism (for example, Master 575). I also like a lock in which it is easy to insert and withdraw the key. These locks are a bit below average in this category. They are still new, however, so perhaps they will loosen up in time. I enjoy looking at these locks. The front and back surfaces are slightly rounded, the top and bottom are slightly rounded, and the sides are rounded. The edges are ground down. The locks have no sharp edges. The locks look elegant and expensive. It is a pleasure to hold one of these locks in my hand. I think you will find these locks to be a good buy.
