2They don’t make them like they used to!
By Gugleebear
Overall, I am very unhappy with this bag. It should have been identical to the one I purchased in Home Depot about 4 years ago, but the quality of the bag has taken a big turn for the worse! Perhaps Home Depot knew what they were doing when they discontinued carrying this line of work bags.

The rubber bottom of the bag has not changed, and unfortunately this will long outlive the rest of the bag. The biggest dissapointment lies in the fact that the reinforcing steel rods at the mouth of the bag have already begun to wear through the flimsy fabric that it is sewn under, and the bag is only a few months old! I cannot say that my own personal bag is manhandled or mistreated in any unuaul way. The fact that this wear would happen is definitely from the poor materials that are now being used to make it. My “old” version of this bag lasted three years, and this one will be lucky to make it through one year!

I would no longer advise anybody to purchase this bag, and in the future will go back to Sears for longer-lasting quality.

5Hands down the best tool bag.
By S. Bullinger
I bought two of these bags back in the late 90′s when Home Depot used to carry them (one for work, one for home). They lasted up until just a few years ago. Great tool bag: deep pockets, large opening, durable zipper, and a tough bottom. The only reason that I did not immediately buy another is I thought McGuire quit making them, as they are no longer sold at Home Depot. So I tried several bags including: Klein, Husky, etc., hating them all. Then I rediscovered the McGuire bag, thank you McGuire and Amazon. By the way, the “rubber” smell goes away in a few days.

5Great bag
By charlie
It took me 9 years to wear out my first one, I didn’t have to think about what to replace it with. The new one is exactly the same quality with the exception that the little pulls on the zipper aren’t shaped like hammers.
